Rain on the borders

In this new project especially conceived for the 30's anniversary of the Pasolini death, Andrea Centazzo presents a new composition The shadow and the silence along with 2 previously released works.Commisioned for Anniversary of the death of Pier Paolo Pasolini, one of the most important Italian poets, writes and cinematographers, Rain on the borders has been premiered in 1995 in Italy. This concert incorporates 3 of the main Centazzo compositions Homage to Pier Paolo Pasolini (1985) and Rain on the borders (1995) both with Pasolini Lyrics and the new one, The shadow and the silence again on the Pasolini poetry.. The unique feature of those Pasolini lyrics in Homage to Pier Paolo Pasolini is the use of the Friulan language, never used before with such artistic and dramatic impact in contemporary literature. Like Pasolini, Centazzo comes from Friuli, the Northeast region of Italy and shares with the great poet origins, language and artistic emigration. The music of this concert captures and expresses the rhythm and pulse of Pasolini poetry by synthetistising the mystery of oriental percussive vibration with the timbral and harmonic understanding of contemporary European music and the soul of the post - minimalism culture.
